Heidi DeWald Veraa

“We need to respect our present Life, as well as Life beyond.  Perfect health is available to everyone.”

– Heidi DeWald Veraa

A fully qualified Ayurvedic Practitioner (Adv. Dip. Ayurveda) & yoga teacher (RYT 500), Heidi has been studying and practicing what she loves for the last 20 years.  Yoga started her on the path of healing and then she discovered Ayurveda while studying in India. After returning to Australia, she studied and received her Advanced Diploma of Ayurveda from Professor Jason Chandler at the Ayurveda College.  Guiding and assisting people out of pain and illness is now her way of life.

After running a successful Ayurvedic clinic in Brisbane, Heidi moved to the hinterland of the Sunshine Coast and is the founder of the Life in Balance Ayurveda clinic in Cooroy.

Heidi does Ayurvedic consultations that will identify your individual constitution or Dosha as it is known in Ayurveda, review your illness patterns, previous injury, structural condition, dietary habits, lifestyle and any presented imbalance in your body.  This is done through taking a full case history as well as using Ayurvedic diagnostic tools of eye, tongue and pulse analysis.

A consultation will address a number of presented symptoms such as fertility issues, anxiety, chronic pain, digestive disorders, IBS, thyroid, depression, cysts, tumours, weight loss, fatigue and  all other presented symptom of imbalance.

Heidi will recommend the right dietary and food combinations for your constitution, introduce some lifestyle changes that will balance the body and mind, and may include some herbal medicines and cleanses/detox that will address the imbalance that has accumulated itself in your body.

There are a number of advanced therapies and Ayurvedic treatments available including the famous Shirodhara – where the treatment begins with a head, neck and shoulder massage, followed by a continuous stream of warm medicated oil poured over the middle of the forehead for around an hour – this treatment is perfect to de-stress, relax and relieves feelings of anxiety and depression.  Some other treatments she offers are full-body Indian Abhyanga oil massage which drains the lymphatic system and helps calm the nervous system and Kati Basti, a pooling of warm oil on the lower back for relief from lower back pain, sciatica as well as helps with any reproductive issues.

Can’t make it into the clinic?  Heidi treats clients from a number of places around Australia and internationally.  You are welcome to set up an online consultation anytime.  All detox materials and medicines can be mailed to you.

From one of Heidi’s clients:

“Heidi is a miracle worker in my eyes … I experienced what the doctors call a post menopausal bleed.  A pelvic scan showed that I had a tumour, fibroids as well as several cysts and that a complete hysterectomy was recommended.  Since I did not want to have a hysterectomy I discussed what the options were with Heidi.

Heidi recommended that with a specific diet, exercise and some Ayurvedic medicines that the tumour and other growths may be removed.  So for the next three months I followed everything Heidi recommended and I am extremely happy to report that a follow-up pelvic scan came back clear … no tumour or growths at all; and therefore NO surgery!!!  What a wonderful outcome and all thanks to Heidi.”

Much love, Carolyn – Brisbane
